Why we exist
Some of the most effective defence technology in the world is being built in Ukraine. Much of it is presented in a way that makes Western buyers hesitate.
This isn’t a product problem. It’s a communication problem, and it has a direct cost: meetings that never happen, evaluations that stall and partnerships that go to competitors with better paperwork.
Datum was set up to fix that. We work between Ukrainian engineering teams and Western procurement cultures, and we produce the documents that let one understand the other.
The name
A datum is the fixed reference on an engineering drawing that every other dimension is measured from.
That is the job we do. Western buyers measure every supplier against an expected standard of information, structure and evidence. We make sure your materials meet it, so your product is judged on its merits.
Our mark is the datum symbol used on technical drawings worldwide: a reference letter in a frame, anchored to the surface it defines.

Datum is founder-led and based in Kyiv.

Founder
Elliot is a British sales professional based in Kyiv. His background is in B2B sales and business development for the US market, and he also runs a web design practice.
He founded Datum to help Ukrainian defence manufacturers present their products to the standard Western buyers and investors expect, bringing a Western sales perspective to Ukrainian engineering.
